Rice Crispy Treats

Prep: 10 minutes Cool: 30 minutes Yield: 16 squares

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 5 oz mini marshmallows (half a bag)
  • 2½ cups rice crispies

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and peanut butter in medium saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add marshmallows, stirring occasionally, until 75% melted.
  3. Remove from heat and continue to stir, pressing down on marshmallows until completely combined.
  4. Pour mixture over cereal and stir until well coated.
  5. Pour into greased 8 or 9 inch pan and press firmly.
  6. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into 16 squares.

Notes

  • Press mixture firmly into pan for treats that hold together well.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
